ProtoPixel lighting technology was used to develop Waterdrops, an interactive lighting game presented in the Viva Cidade Festival in Sao Paulo, Brasil. This festival is dedicated to foster social awareness of ecological problems, quality of life in the city, and the value of natural resources.
In Waterdrops citizens could interact with a large scale lighting facade to play a game putting out fire by means of water flows controlled through tangible pipes on a tabletop interface.
ProtoPixel wanted to use its experience in smart lighting technology to translate instant citizen feedback into an impressive visual language that was displayed on Avenida Paulista, to have a maximum of reaction from the public.
